Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, is DAF Day, the national giving day for Donor Advised Funds. Fundholders across the country are putting their charitable dollars to work, and whether your fund is held at CFAAC or with another provider, you can join them by recommending a grant that supports the people and places that make Anne Arundel County home.
Below are nine CFAAC grantmaking funds, each focused on a different need in our community. Pick the one that matters most to you, or spread your support across several.
Donor Advised Fund holders at any provider can recommend a grant to a CFAAC fund. It only takes a few minutes.
1. Log in to your CFAAC Donor Advised Fund or other DAF account with the provider that holds your fund.
2. Search for the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County, EIN 52-2098698.
3. In the grant purpose or designation field, enter the name of the fund you want to support, such as “South County Fund.”

My DAF will meet my community’s needs wherever they are greatest.
Needs in our county change from year to year, and sometimes from month to month. The Fund for Anne Arundel gives CFAAC the flexibility to respond as they arise, directing support where it is needed most.
My DAF will help keep a neighbor in their home when an emergency hits.
A sudden job loss, medical bill, or car repair can put housing at risk. Since 2008, the Help Our Neighbors Fund has helped Anne Arundel County residents stay steady through unexpected hardship.
My DAF will fight hunger in my community.
Even in one of the wealthier counties in Maryland, many neighbors do not always know where their next meal will come from. The Food Insecurity Fund supports efforts to put healthy food on tables across Anne Arundel County.
My DAF will keep our land and water healthy for generations to come.
Our rivers, shorelines, and open spaces shape life in Anne Arundel County. Since 2014, Environment Anne Arundel has supported local efforts to protect the natural places that make our county home.
My DAF will stand with immigrant families facing crisis in my community.
Immigrant neighbors are part of the fabric of Anne Arundel County. The Family Protection Fund helps them find support when they need it most.
My DAF will break down barriers for women and girls in my community.
Since 2009, the Women and Girls Fund has supported programs that open doors for women and girls across Anne Arundel County, from education and career readiness to health and safety.
My DAF will turn a teacher’s big idea into a lesson students never forget.
Teachers often have creative ideas for their classrooms but no budget to make them happen. Since 2009, Grants 4 Teachers has helped Anne Arundel County educators bring hands-on projects into their classrooms and schoolyards.
My DAF will carry our community’s culture forward, one performance, painting, and story at a time.
The arts bring people together and give our community its character. The Performing & Visual Arts Fund supports the artists and arts organizations that make Anne Arundel County a more creative place to live.
My DAF will make sure no one in South County is left isolated.
South County’s rural geography means fewer social service providers and longer distances to reach them. Since 2014, the South County Fund has supported community-based programs that help school-age youth access education, career development, and health resources.
A Donor Advised Fund at CFAAC lets you give when and where it makes sense for you, with a local team to help you plan. You can support nonprofits in Anne Arundel County and across the country.
When you contribute to your fund, you may be eligible for a charitable tax deduction right away, and you can recommend grants on your own timeline, whether that’s this DAF Day, at year-end, or over many years. Our team handles the details, from confirming that nonprofits are eligible to sending each grant, so you can focus on the causes you care about. We can also share what we’re learning about needs across the county to help guide your giving.
