Mary Spencer will retire as president and CEO of the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County by the end of the year, the group announced Tuesday. Spencer assumed the role in 2018 and oversaw the growth of the foundation's assets from $14 million to $43 million and fundraising efforts totaling more than $68 million. The foundation's board of trustees will begin a search for Spencer's successor shortly, and Spencer will continue to lead the group as the search unfolds.
