Professional Advisor Recognition Society Spotlight on Christine W. Hubbard

The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County launched its Professional Advisors Recognition Society at the 2022 Celebration of Philanthropy, naming six inductees to its inaugural class—Christine Hubbard is one of the first members to receive this honor.

Whenever there is a need for help, Christine Hubbard is there. She cares deeply about her community, stepping up to volunteer, lending a hand, or offering advice. She has been an integral part of the Community Foundation’s efforts to encourage philanthropy in Anne Arundel County.

“I have worked closely with the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County for many years as a professional advisor, in partnership with the Anne Arundel Estate Planning Council, and in connection with implementing my estate planning clients’ gifting plans,” said Christine, who has been a practicing attorney for more than 30 years and founder of the Law Offices of Christine W. Hubbard, LLC. “The Community Foundation’s extraordinary staff has consistently demonstrated a high level of excellence and remarkable talent for helping people find joy in giving. They help people find and explore their passions for helping others, by preserving the environment, furthering education, and the arts, or helping animals, then teaching them how to confidently give during life or at death to fulfill their passions. I am truly proud of my friendship with the Community Foundation.”

Christine not only believes that the Community Foundation can guide her clients in giving but also sees it as partnership and an added service for her clients.

“I feel like I have a partner at CFAAC. I can call and they know me. If I need something in a pinch, they’ll get it to me. They are a partner who I can access very easily. Not just a partner, but a very important and capable partner in the community that I can lean on,” she said. “I have had a wonderful experience with the team at CFAAC to help me find solutions for my clients to reach their charitable goals. They are very good at finding solutions.”

In addition to practicing law and operating her own firm, Christine also chairs the Maryland State Bar Association Estate & Trust Law Section Council. She is Past Chair of the Estates & Trusts Section of the Anne Arundel County Bar Association, and past chair, executive committee emeritus, and co-founder of the Anne Arundel Estate Planning Council, where she is an active member. Christine also serves as a professional advisor to the Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation, Inc. and the Annapolis Area Christian School.

The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County created the Professional Advisor Recognition Society to acknowledge professional advisors for their commitment to the community and their work to support philanthropy and encourage charitable giving across Anne Arundel County.
