COMMUNITY FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES PUBLICATION OF NEEDS ASSESSMENT REPORT FOR ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY

(Annapolis, MD, September 4, 2025) The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County’s (CFAAC) 2025 Community Needs Assessment Report, Poverty Amidst Plenty VIII: Building Community Together is now available electronically at www.cfaac.org/NeedsAssessment. The community needs assessment is a data-rich report intended to increase knowledge and awareness about persistent local trends and needs in Anne Arundel County.

CFAAC invites the community to attend one of the upcoming public needs assessment report presentations. The report’s author, Pamela Brown, Ph.D., the Executive Director of the Anne Arundel County Partnership for Children, Youth and Families, will be making the presentations at the Chesapeake Arts Center on September 22, 2025, 9-11 a.m.; Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts on October 1, 2025, 9-11 a.m.; and Anne Arundel Community College on November 5, 2025 , 6-8 p.m. These sessions will offer the community the opportunity to understand the needs and the gaps in services that exist in Anne Arundel County. Immediately following the presentation on both September 22 and October 1, we will conduct brief focus groups to encourage conversations among community members, nonprofit partners, donors, and civic leaders to identify gaps and priorities based on the data presented. These breakout focus groups will include the following topics: housing, childcare, food, place-based communities of hope, and strengthening neighborhoods. All attendees will receive one print copy of the report. Visit cfaac.org to register for a session or to receive a copy of the report.

The 2025 Anne Arundel County Community Needs Assessment, Poverty Amidst Plenty VIII, contains collective quantitative and qualitative data from a variety of local, state and national sources, focus groups and more. Poverty Amidst Plenty VIII is the result of an extended collaboration between the following partners: Dr. Pam Brown and The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County, Anne Arundel Medical Center, University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, Anne Arundel County Department of Health, Anne Arundel County Mental Health Agency, and the Anne Arundel County Partnership for Children, Youth and Families.
