The Walkabout Fund

About the Organization

The Walkabout Fund is a Donor Advised Fund held at the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County, established in 2024 to support the philanthropic interests of its advisor(s).

The fund provides a flexible way for advisors to recommend grants to nonprofit organizations of their choice, allowing them to direct financial support to the causes they care about most. It offers the convenience of making charitable donations over time while also enabling the fund’s assets to grow through investment. This structure empowers the fund’s advisors to support a diverse range of philanthropic interests while adopting a strategic, tax-efficient approach to giving.
