Encore Creativity Designated Fund

About the Organization

Established in 2024, the Encore Creativity Designated Fund is a CFAAC Designated Fund dedicated to supporting Encore Creativity's mission of providing an excellent and accessible artistic environment for older adults.

A Designated Fund at CFAAC offers a reliable source of ongoing support for a specific nonprofit organization, ensuring financial stability and long-term impact. By establishing a designated fund, donors can help sustain the organization’s mission, allowing it to focus on its programs and services while CFAAC manages the investment and administration of the fund.

A Message from Encore Creativity

The nonprofit Encore Creativity for Older Adults is the nation’s largest choral arts organization for adults 55+. Our mission is to create meaningful arts experiences supporting lifelong learning, wellness, and fun for all older adults.

Encore’s key initiative is to create a world where all older adults have a place in the arts. Encore’s programs center around a model of singing for life, with support for singers of all experience levels and skill sets.

Encore’s programs include:

  • Encore Chorales, singing traditional choral music in four-part harmony
  • Encore ROCKS, singing choral arrangements of rock & roll hits from the 50s, 60s, and beyond
  • Arts for Life, connecting those with cognitive change and their care partners through song
  • Encore University, online educational courses that take a holistic approach to creativity and the arts

Encore values celebrating the older adult voice, creating an accessible and inclusive artistic community, improving health and wellness, inspiring a passion for quality lifelong learning, and cultivating opportunities for social connection and friendship.

Encore initiatives in the arts are funded via sponsorships and kind individual contributions. This fund will support Encore’s efforts in five key areas:

  • Growing and expanding Arts for Life programs, and keeping them tuition free for participants and care partners so that families experiencing cognitive change can connect with each other without bearing any cost
  • National expansion of Encore Creativity, ensuring that all older adults can access Encore’s programs regardless of location
  • Diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, ensuring that our programs reflect the communities in which we serve
  • Recruiting and retaining artistic talent, including the creation of training materials to create a talent pipeline and a new generation of artistic leaders for older adults in the arts
  • Expanding Encore’s suite of online offerings, creating an accessible and inclusive community for all manners of artistic wellness—from singing techniques to visual arts
