BRENDAN SAILING ROBERTA WILSON & KURT LOWMAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Brendan Sailing Roberta Wilson and Kurt Lowman Scholarship Fund is an endowed fund, established through a generous grant from The Kahlert Foundation, in recognition of Roberta’s contributions and commitment to the mission and impact of Brendan Sailing and of her work with The Kahlert Foundation. It also recognizes her late husband Kurt, an avid sailor and crewmember on Jim Muldoon’s race boat Donnybrook. Kurt volunteered with Brendan Sailing in the years before his passing, and connected Roberta to the program.
Brendan Sailing’s mission is to build pathways for self-confidence and personal growth in children with learning differences through individually tailored, experiential sailing instruction. Over the years, Roberta has seen first-hand the lasting impact the program has on the campers and their families.
The scholarship fund helps ensure that financial barriers do not prevent participation in Brendan Sailing camps by providing need-based scholarships for youth whose families might not otherwise be able to afford it.
