The Friends of Arts and Culture Anne Arundel Fund is a Fund at the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC), dedicated to expanding access to the arts for underserved communities across our region.
Since launching its grantmaking in 2013, the fund has focused on ensuring that everyone—regardless of income—has the opportunity to experience and engage with the power of the arts. From visual and performing arts to literature, folk traditions, and language, the fund supports organizations and initiatives that inspire creativity, amplify cultural voices, and create space for connection and joy.
Fund advisors gather thoughtfully to review and identify grant recipients who share a commitment to making the arts more accessible and inclusive. Over the years, the Friends of Arts and Culture Anne Arundel Fund has made meaningful investments in organizations that:

Arts Angels Scholarship Program (via Arts Council of Anne Arundel County)
Provides scholarships for local youth to attend arts programs in visual art, drama, music, dance, and filmmaking.
Severn Intergenerational Center Public Art
Supported the creation of a community mural and mosaic installation, designed to engage residents of all ages.
Anti-Racism Arts and Program Series (Banneker-Douglass-Tubman Museum Foundation)
A creative series using arts programming to address racism and elevate underrepresented voices.
Michael Stanley MakerSpace Expansion (Chesapeake Arts Center)
Expanded hands-on learning experiences and access to creative tools for community members of all ages.
