Please join us in welcoming Jennifer Lagrotteria as CFAAC’s Director of Philanthropic Resources, a position responsible for the planning, implementation, and execution of a strategy to attract major, planned, and legacy donors to partner with CFAAC to fulfill their philanthropic and financial goals. With Jen’s appointment to this newly formed position at CFAAC, we are further expanding our philanthropic advising team. She will work with individuals, families and businesses to fulfill their philanthropic goals.
Jennifer brings with her a unique career background with more than 30 years of experience in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.
Before her career in nonprofits, New York City was Jennifer’s home base for more than a decade, where she managed events across the nation for Time Inc. magazines including Fortune and People. After leaving NYC and corporate America, Jennifer traveled to Southeast Asia, exploring 11 countries and volunteering along the way.
A year later, Jennifer brought her newfound passion and knowledge of the nonprofit world to Maryland to focus on impacting lives. In 2009, she created Charity Begins, a nonprofit that helped travelers deliver necessities to nonprofits in developing countries. She also started working with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County (BGCAA) as a part-time Communication and Development Director before taking a leadership role as the Director of Resource Development. While at BGCAA, Jennifer created and facilitated the annual fundraising plan, supervised all marketing, and managed annual fundraising events including the prestigious Youth of the Year Awards Celebration.
Most recently, Jennifer was a Major Gifts Officer at the Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation. Today, she is thrilled to be on the CFAAC team as the Director of Philanthropic Resources—a position that is perfectly aligned with her work across both sectors and her passion to connect people who care with organizations that matter.
Jennifer is the captain of Leadership Anne Arundel’s Flagship Class of 2018 and recently joined Anne Arundel Women Giving Together (AAWGT). She resides in Annapolis with her husband and enjoys traveling, kayaking the Severn River, and hiking.
