Dear CFAAC Community,
I am writing to inform our CFAAC stakeholders that Amy Francis, our Director of Development, has decided that it is time to move on to new challenges and will be leaving us at the end of December. After being involved with the Community Foundation for 15 years, first as a volunteer and then as a member of the staff, Amy is leaving the nonprofit world. She has accepted a position with a local wealth management firm where she will be helping to steward their clients by organizing events, educational programs, and the firm's client advisory board.
Amy has been a dedicated member of the CFAAC team and has shaped much of what the organization has become. She first became involved with the Community Foundation in 2005 when she created a Donor Advised Fund to benefit children with cancer in memory of her daughter Zoe. In 2008, Amy officially joined CFAAC as the Donor Services Coordinator and has served as a vital member of CFAAC's team since then. In that time, her dedication and passion has helped the organization grow its assets from $1.2 million to more than $24 million. In addition, Amy has planned and coordinated numerous successful fundraising events, including CFAAC’s annual signature event, The Celebration of Philanthropy.
As you can imagine, this is an exciting, yet bittersweet, time for Amy. CFAAC will always be part of her life but the future holds new promises and possibilities and we are thrilled for her. On behalf of the staff and our Board of Trustees, I offer our sincere gratitude to her for all she has helped us accomplish together.
We will begin our search for a new Director of Development immediately. Attached please find the job description and announcement. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. Thank you for your support, which is at the heart of our success in supporting Anne Arundel County!
Warmly,
