DESIGNATED FUND FOR NAMI ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY RECENTLY ESTABLISHED AT THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY
Millersville, Maryland (June, 2023) — A Designated Fund that has potential to become a Nonprofit Endowment Fund for NAMI Anne Arundel County (NAMI AAC) has been established at the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC). NAMI AAC is an affiliate of National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), an organization that provides advocacy, education, support, and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.
The goal will be for the Designated Fund to reach a balance of $25,000 within three years so CFAAC can permanently endow the fund and convert it to a Nonprofit Endowment Fund to support NAMI AAC in perpetuity.
“We are excited to have this fund at the Community Foundation. Growing the fund into a Nonprofit Endowment Fund at CFAAC will ensure our organization’s long-term success,” said NAMI AAC’s Executive Director Fred Delp. “It will also offer us the ability to accept complex assets such as stocks, real estate, and mutual funds once we reach the minimum of $25,000.”
Individuals can donate to grow the NAMI AAC Designated Fund into a Nonprofit Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation’s website here.
