Fort Meade Alliance Foundation Endowment Fund

About the Organization

CFAAC Nonprofit Agency Designated Fund was created by the Fort Meade Alliance Foundation  to enhance its mission of promoting philanthropy for the Fort Meade installation, military personnel and their families, as well as the wider Fort Meade community.

Dedicated to those who protect us today and tomorrow, the Fort Meade Alliance Foundation Endowment Fund was created to support the Fort Meade installation, military personnel and their families, civilians and the broader Fort Meade Community. The Fort Meade Alliance Foundation, a 501(c)(3), focuses its initiatives on two key areas: (1) Resiliency Supports for Fort Meade military and families and (2) Education and Workforce programs for K-12 students in the region.

This designated fund was established during CFAAC's 25th Anniversary endowment initiative to help nonprofits create a lasting endowment for perpetual support of their mission. Your donation will help this nonprofit reach the $25,000 threshold required for endowment, allowing them to receive annual distributions to their operating budget in perpetuity. Please consider contributing to support their long-term sustainability.

A MESSAGE FROM THE FORT MEADE ALLIANCE FOUNDATION

Fort Meade Alliance Foundation Endowment Fund was created to support the Fort Meade installation, military personnel and their families, civilians and the broader Fort Meade Community. This includes K-12 students who, through the Fort Meade Alliance, are being exposed to hands-on, STEM-based experiences that ultimately develop the skillset of our future workforce.

Dedicated to those who protect us today . . .

Fort George G. Meade has a population of 64,000+ and is the second-largest Army installation in the U.S. and the nation’s premier installation for intelligence, information and cyber operations. There are almost 120 organizations operating on site, from the U.S. Cyber Command, National Security Agency, the Defense Information Systems Agency, and various military intelligence battalions, brigades and groups.

At any given time, there are approximately 400 Army service members transitioning out of the military at Fort Meade and in need of civilian employment. In addition, depression, PTSD, and anxiety are often experienced by those serving and protecting our country. Whether they are being deployed into a dangerous environment halfway across the world or dealing with the immense stress of their missions here at home, our national defense members are in need of resources and programs that will facilitate their health and well-being.

Dedicated to those who will protect us tomorrow . . .

Introducing experiential STEM opportunities to middle and high school students and igniting their love for science is the mission of FMA’s Education and Workforce programs. The ultimate goal of our programs is to convert that passion for science into tangible job skills that will feed the hiring pipeline for area employers. Our experiential programs include: Tech Mania, Project SCOPE (Security Clearance Overview and Preparation Education), STEMOVATION, Career Chats, Teacher Externships, Meade Cyber Lab, and STEM Family Night.

Your contribution to this Endowment Fund will allow the Fort Meade Alliance to:

  1. Coordinate and help promote available resources that address the U.S. Army’s five areas of resiliency—physical, emotional, social, family, and spiritual
  2. Provide nutritional classes to army personnel to overcome obesity and depression that is prevalent in the army
  3. Help transitioning military find gainful civilian employment
  4. Help Ignite students love of STEM and develop their skillset in the field of applied sciences
  5. Improve the hiring pipeline, particularly in STEM-based vocations that typically have larger vacancies
