Carroll H. Hynson Jr. Award for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Philanthropy

Named in honor of a former CFAAC board member, Carroll H. Hynson, Jr., this award is presented to an individual, group, or organization who has demonstrated a significant commitment to DEI in their philanthropic work in Anne Arundel County.

This individual or group made outstanding contributions to philanthropy by forging genuine partnerships with diverse communities; making a conscious effort to operationalize and reflect DEI in philanthropy; or implementing other DEI initiatives involving the financial or volunteer support of one or more nonprofits in Anne Arundel County.

Eligibility Criteria

All nominees must:

- Be a resident of Anne Arundel County

- Have a demonstrated track record of charitable giving to one or more nonprofit organizations based in and working in Anne Arundel County

- Have made a positive impact in the lives of county residents through their giving

- Encourage/motivate others to become philanthropic
