A MESSAGE FROM CHARTING CAREERS

Our longitudinal, wrap-around support program now serves more than 50 youth and their families (at least one caregiver per family ~25) with long-term educational, mentoring, and group programming to address individual and peer needs, as well as  family partnership and brief mental health support to address family needs. We begin our longitudinal after-school model with tutoring for 2nd-5th grade students behind in reading and then support and mentor these same students through middle, high school, and beyond. As needed, additional family support and case management is provided by our Family Partnership Team. Our Scholarship & Awards Night is one element of this larger program. We currently have 11 college students and 4 seniors who are set to graduate and have post-high school success plans.

Our Community Impact Teams program supports 30+ families and 80+ youth in key Annapolis neighborhoods. Through this program leaders who live in these neighborhoods build trusting relationships with their neighbors, help them assess their needs, and set and achieve goals, like accessing mental health resources or signing up for GED classes.

Our Career Day programs provide approximately 280 Annapolis Middle School 7th graders with the opportunity to meet and interact with diverse professionals and explore different career options.
