CFAAC Community Crisis Response Fund has awarded $187,000 to local nonprofits addressing COVID-19 needs
The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County’s (CFAAC) Community Crisis Response Fund is proud to announce that it recently awarded the third cycle of rapid response grant funding to 28 nonprofits totaling $65,622; the largest grant cycle awarded to date. Since April, CFAAC Community Crisis Response Fund has granted more than $187,000 in emergency funding through 87 grants to local nonprofits providing direct relief during the COVID-19 pandemic. The 54 nonprofits that have received funding through CFAAC’s Community Crisis Response Fund serve diverse communities throughout Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. Grants have supported organizations that address food security and basic human needs for hungry families, cancer patients, the intellectually disabled, seniors, victims of domestic violence, immigrants, the homeless, and the recently unemployed.

Abundant Life Church- Grant awarded to purchase and distribute essential items such as food, baby supplies, diapers, and transportation assistance to vulnerable Anne Arundel County residents.
Annapolis Evangelical Presbyterian Church- Grant awarded for the Mills-Parole Pop Up Food Pantry, serving over 200 immigrant families with young children, to purchase and distribute essential items such as food, baby food, formula, diapers, and wipes, as well as items to maintain safe and healthy environments, including cleaning and hygiene supplies, to Anne Arundel County residents.
Anne Arundel County Food Bank- Grant awarded to purchase and distribute food to Anne Arundel County residents through the Emergency Pantry program.
Anne Arundel Medical Center Inc.- Project COVID 19 - Community Outreach to Lower Income Seniors and Disabled Adults: Grant awarded to purchase and distribute essential items such as food and items to maintain safe and healthy environments, including cleaning and hygiene supplies, to Anne Arundel County seniors and disabled adults.
Arundel House of Hope- Grant to provide food, cleaning supplies, transportation assistance, and other needed items to extend the operation of the “Winter Shelter” which has remained open to serve homeless men and women during the pandemic.
Asbury Church Assistance Network- Grant awarded to purchase and distribute food and essential items to maintain safe and healthy environments, including cleaning and hygiene supplies, to Anne Arundel County residents.
Associated Catholic Charities, Inc.- Grant awarded to purchase and distribute food and essential items to maintain safe and healthy environments, including cleaning and hygiene supplies, to Anne Arundel County residents through Sarah’s House homeless shelter at Fort Meade.
BeMoreCaring, Inc.- Project Helping the Homeless During COVID-19: Grant awarded to purchase and distribute essential items such as food, water, and toiletries to Anne Arundel County homeless residents.
Be Rose International Foundation, Inc.- Project Stay at Home, Save Lives: Grant awarded to purchase and distribute food and essential items to maintain safe and healthy environments to low-income communities in Annapolis, Millersville, and Edgewater.
Blessed in Tech Ministries Inc.- Grant awarded to purchase and distribute essential items such as food, prescriptions, and transportation assistance, as well as items to maintain safe and healthy environments, including cleaning and hygiene supplies, to low income seniors in Anne Arundel County.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Inc.- Grant awarded to purchase and distribute essential items to maintain safe and healthy environments, including laundry detergent, cleaning and hygiene supplies, to Anne Arundel County youth through their six clubhouses located in Annapolis, Pasadena, Glen Burnie, and Severn.
BWMC Foundation- Project Hungry Harvest produce box distribution for needy families: Grant awarded to purchase and distribute food to primarily Northern Anne Arundel County residents who live in food deserts.
Child Hunger Outreach Partners- Grant awarded to purchase and distribute food directly to Anne Arundel County children and their families who are unable to make to hot meal sites due to transportation issues.
Co-op Arundel- Grant awarded to purchase and distribute food and essential Items to maintain safe and healthy environments, including cleaning and hygiene supplies, to underserved communities in Annapolis.
Creating Communities- Grant awarded to provide fresh produce boxes to families through the Mills-Parole Elementary School and the Grater Parole Community Association.
Downtown Hope- Project COVID-19 Love Annapolis: Grant to purchase and distribute essential items such as food, formula, diapers, medicine, transportation assistance, and items to maintain safe and healthy environments to Anne Arundel County residents.
Homes for America- Grant awarded to purchase and distribute essential items such as food, and transportation assistance, as well as items to maintain safe and healthy environments, including cleaning and hygiene supplies, to Anne Arundel County residents in their 300+ apartments for low income families with children, seniors, and persons with disabilities.
Hospice of the Chesapeake Foundation- Project Meeting Special Needs of Pediatric Hospice Families During COVID-19 Challenges: Grant awarded to provide assistance to underserved Anne Arundel County pediatric hospice families for medical expenses not covered by insurance, including medical equipment, supplies, prescription drugs, transportation costs for medical appointments, and other related expenses.
Kingdom Kare, Inc.- Grant awarded to purchase and distribute essential items such as food, formula, diapers, medicine, and transportation assistance, as well as items to maintain safe and healthy environments, including cleaning and hygiene supplies, to West Anne Arundel County residents, including Meade Village and Pioneer City.
Langton Green, Inc.- Grant awarded to purchase and distribute essential items to maintain safe and healthy environments, specifically cleaning and hygiene supplies, to Anne Arundel County residents who are intellectually and developmentally disabled.
The Light House- Grant awarded to purchase to purchase and distribute essential items such as food, diapers, formula, items to maintain safe and healthy environments, including cleaning and hygiene supplies, as well as assistance with medical needs not covered by insurance to their at-risk or homeless clients in Anne Arundel County.
My Life Foundation, Inc.- Project Support Food and Basic Needs for the Asian American Community: Grant awarded to purchase and distribute food and essential items to maintain safe and healthy environments to Anne Arundel County residents.
New Life Fellowship International Ministries- Grant awarded to purchase and distribute essential items such as food, formula, diapers, medicine, transportation assistance, and items to maintain safe and healthy environments to Anne Arundel County residents through the organization’s ‘New Life Emergency Supply Program’.
Pregnancy Clinic of Bowie Crofton- Grant awarded to purchase and distribute essential items such as baby supplies, baby wipes, formula, and diapers to Anne Arundel County residents.
The Red Devils- Project Treatment Support for Anne Arundel County Breast Cancer Families: Grant awarded to purchase and distribute essential items such as food, transportation assistance, as well as items to maintain safe and healthy environments, including cleaning and hygiene supplies, to Anne Arundel County residents living with or being treated for breast cancer.
