As the year comes to a close, we want to ensure your charitable giving has the greatest impact while maximizing your tax benefits.
If you plan to recommend a grant before year-end, please submit your request by Friday, December 12, 2025. Because of the high volume at this time of year, this deadline ensures our team has the time needed to complete the required due diligence and distribute grants within the 2025 calendar year.
You may request grants online through your fund portal or by emailing Rosalind@cfaac.org.
Stock Monday is December 1, which is a great time to consider donating appreciated stock, one of the most tax-smart ways to give. To ensure your gift qualifies for a 2025 tax deduction, please initiate stock transfers by December 19, 2025. This timeline allows for processing before the December 31 transfer deadline.
Please notify Kathy@cfaac.org in advance with the company name and approximate number of shares. If CFAAC receives the shares before the close of business on December 31, they may be claimed as a 2025 tax deduction even if they are sold in 2026. Please note that the stock market is closed on December 25.

New funds may be opened at any time during business hours once CFAAC receives both a fully executed fund agreement and an initial contribution in the form of cash or non-cash assets. To ensure your new fund is established within the 2025 calendar year, all materials and contributions must be received by December 31, 2025. Tax-smart options such as appreciated stock, QCDs, or bequests are all strong ways to open a new fund.
CFAAC offices will be closed December 24 to 25, 2025, and January 1, 2026.
On December 31, 2025, our office will close early at 3:00 PM.
