Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County Names John Rodenhausen President & CEO

The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC) has announced that John Rodenhausen, CAP, will become its next President and CEO, effective November 1, 2025. He will succeed Mary Spencer, who will retire on October 31 after seven years of leadership.

Leadership Transition

Spencer is credited with guiding CFAAC through a period of growth and strengthening its role as a leading philanthropic organization in the county. Under her tenure, the foundation expanded its community impact and deepened relationships with donors and nonprofits.

Rodenhausen joined CFAAC in early 2023 as Director of Gift Planning, bringing more than 25 years of nonprofit experience. During his time in the role, he helped establish 71 new funds and secured $18 million in planned gift commitments, substantially increasing both revenue and granting capacity.
