Manager, Grants & Scholarships

Kristen is responsible for the management of CFAAC’s grants processing functions including grants made through the Fund for Anne Arundel, Grants 4 Teachers, Help Our Neighbors, and Strengthening Nonprofits, along with supporting our fund advisors as they make grant recommendations from their funds. Additionally, Kristen is the staff liaison to Anne Arundel Women Giving Together, a 200+ member giving circle that was launched by CFAAC 12 years ago. She works with area nonprofits to learn about their programs and services so that she can direct them to appropriate funding opportunities as well as bring appropriate nonprofits to the attention of CFAAC fund advisors. Kristen also manages CFAAC’s memorial scholarship programs – Herzberg-Wild Scholarship, Officer Grant Turner Memorial Scholarship, William Bunn Chaney Scholarship, and the Capital Gazette Scholarship.

Kristen previously served as the Co-owner of K&L Fundraising Event Consulting where she worked with non-profits clients to plan and execute fundraising events. In addition, Kristen has served as a Management and Systems Consultant at and as a manager at Accenture. Kristen is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.S., Double Major in Information Systems and Finance. She joined CFAAC in January 2019.
