Presenter: Rebecca Murphy, Maryland Nonprofits Consultant

Leveraging her 30 plus years experience in government, community development, nonprofit organizations, and philanthropy and utilizing best practices, evidence-based methods, and her professional and personal lived experience, Rebecca Murphy works collaboratively, helping her clients create an organizational culture grounded in accountability that facilitates fulsome empowerment for all individuals and groups within it.

Rebecca’s mission-driven approach is grounded in her desire for positive social change, particularly addressing economic and racial inequality, discrimination against women, people of color, and the LGBTQI+ community, and her life and work are reflective of that commitment.

Rebecca provides coaching, training, and facilitation, as well as strategic planning and capacity building, to nonprofit organizations and businesses. In addition to consulting, Rebecca conducts training webinars and provides leadership development coaching to CEOs, Executive Directors, and Boards of Directors.

With generous support from the Anne Arundel County's Office of the County Executive, ACDS and CFAAC are presenting a series of five nonprofit skills workshops designed to help nonprofits gain the knowledge they need to sustain and grow their organizations. Each workshop is offered twice — once in-person and once virtual.  The workshops include Grant Writing and Fundraising Readiness; Program Outcomes and Evaluation; Succession Planning; Nonprofit Organizational Financial Management; and Leadership Mindset: Leading Teams with Intentionality Around Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. All five in-person workshops will also be offered as a virtual workshop the week after the original in-person workshop.
