Community Leadership

Help Us Help Our Community

Nearly two decades ago, a small group of generous community members shared a common vision and commitment to improve the quality of life for all county residents and the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County was born. We are proud of what we have accomplished over time, but there is so much more to do.

As we begin our 20th year, we know that we would not be here without you. With your support, we will continue to raise awareness about issues including affordable housing, aging, arts & culture, childcare, environment, mental health, poverty, substance abuse, and transportation, and help to engage donors and the community in generating creative solutions.

OUR GOAL
In the spring of 2017, we launched our Community Leadership Circle Campaign. Our goal is to raise $700,000 by 2020 to support our ongoing Community Leadership Initiatives. Our efforts in the community go beyond providing high-quality philanthropic services to our donors. CFAAC is a convener of service providers, a thought partner, an advocate for local nonprofits, and a catalyst for new ideas and community problem-solving.

WHY CFAAC?
We have developed deep and lasting relationships with donors and nonprofits to help build a stronger community. Through the power of collaboration, CFAAC is helping to improve the quality of life for all in Anne Arundel County. We partner with people who have the financial resources to help shape our community in the areas with the greatest need. We are committed to helping to strengthen nonprofits doing vital and innovative work in our region by helping them become more efficient and effective organizations. Our Community Leadership Initiatives serve as a bridge between these critical resources affecting positive change in Anne Arundel County through philanthropy.

COMMUNITY IMPACT
CFAAC has grown to be the largest institutional funder in Anne Arundel County. We are committed to improving our community by supporting programs that are making a significant impact and providing measurable outcomes for county residents to live healthy, vibrant, and successful lives.
