CFAAC convene's the following partners to provide more comprehensive and coordinated capacity building training to nonprofits in the county:

The outcome of this meeting was the decision to form the Strengthening Nonprofits Collaborative (SNC) in an effort to leverage, align and promote resources to better support skills development and training for nonprofit professionals in the county.

Foundation Center Funding Information Network

Funding Information Network now offers nonprofits the opportunity to meet for a one-on-one appointment to learn the basics of searching the Foundation Directory Online. Call 410-222-1750 or visit the Annapolis Regional Library for more information and to schedule a one hour appointment.

Lynda.com

Lynda.com is one of the many online resources that the Anne Arundel County Public Library provides free of charge to its customers. It gives you access to more than 3,000 courses and nearly 130,000 high-quality, up-to-date and engaging video tutorials taught by recognized industry experts. The broad range of topics taught to lynda.com users includes technological, creative and business skills designed to help achieve personal and professional goals. It covers topics such as grant writing, marketing, web design, social media, software, and job searching.

To get started on lynda.com, follow these steps:

  • Get a library card by visiting one of the libraries or by applying online through aacpl.net/my-accounts
  • Visit aacpl.net/Lynda  and click the hyperlink that reads “Create your lynda.com Profile”
  • Click on the “Create Profile” button and follow the instructions to create a profile
  • Browse courses and save what you like to your own playlist
  • Save and view progress in your lynda.com profile
