Director, Finance & Operations

Taylor is responsible for the accounting functions of CFAAC including the recording of revenues, expenses, transfers and disbursements. She reconciles all accounts monthly, both checking and brokerage. She performs financial analysis as requested by the Executive Director and Board of Trustees, and is responsible for the preparation of financial reports. She assists the accountant with the corporation tax filings and the auditor with the audit. Taylor also handles legal and contractual Human Relations activity including employment, benefits and State and Federal labor regulations. She is the staff liaison for the Budget and Finance Committee, Investment Committee and the Audit Committee. 

Taylor is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering. Her previous professional experience includes electrical design, forensic engineering, and engineering management. She joined CFAAC in late 2010.  

Taylor has a passion for nonprofits, and has served as an officer or board member on five small local nonprofit boards. She also has prepared numerous successful grant proposals for funding from private foundations, as well as state and local governments, including a $100,000 grant for the Captain Avery Museum in Shady Side, MD. 

Taylor will retire from CFAAC in April 2021.
