Community Leadership Circle
The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County has experienced a dramatic makeover in recent years. CFAAC is proud to serve the county through the traditional functions of a community foundation - attracting donors, building endowments, and making grants. To stay on the cutting edge of services and programs, CFAAC adopted an increasingly proactive, strategic approach to philanthropy; one that has come to be known as "Community Leadership Initiatives."
Through CFAAC’s Community Leadership Initiatives, the community foundation not only provides high-quality philanthropic services to our donors, but also serves the community as a thought partner, advocate for local nonprofits, and a catalyst for new ideas and community problem-solving. In addition, CFAAC draws together various stakeholders to develop new solutions affecting positive change in Anne Arundel County through philanthropy. CFAAC's Community Leadership Initiatives include the Community Needs Assessment, Strengthening Nonprofits Collaborative, Community Impact Speaker Series, Anne Arundel Estate Planning Council, and Community Grant Programs (Strengthening Nonprofits, Grants 4 Teachers, Help Our Neighbors, and Fund for Anne Arundel).
CFAAC’s Community Leadership Circle is made up of generous donors who have committed gifts to support CFAAC’s operational budget to ensure long-term sustainability.
